Final Project: Draft
I have decided to choose Mario Kart Wii as the game I will use for this final project. It shows a comedic and goofy side to competing that can't be seen in many of the other popular multiplayer games. I have, for the most part, a solid framework for how the piece will end up like. I have recorded all the narrations that I had in mind. I could still add or remove some of the narrations as I see fit as I go onto the final version of the piece. I have sounds for a good 3/5 of the piece. I can still tweak them depending on what is said during critique.
I still need to record me playing with friends. I haven't gotten to this in part to conflicts in schedule with the friends who actually get fired up playing this game. This is number one on my priority list for this project.
A concern I would like to raise is the transitions from narration to the game. An idea would be if I played some background music from the game while the narrations go on. Another concern would obviously be the timing. Even without the recording of my friends and I playing, the piece is a little over 5 minutes. I would probably have the cut out some of the audio from me practicing alone. But the problem is how much should I cut out without it being too short.

Caution: The girl in the video squeals and the audio peaks. Your ears have been warned.
